My desktop fails to load windows xp and tells me disk read error. press ctrl,alt and delete to restart. I have used chkdsk under repair with winxp cd which failed at 10 Per cent and formatted in NTFS and FAT, both failed. My hard disks size is 30gb, i also cannot create a new partition to install the OS. Please is there anything i can do to fix the problem.

its very obvious,ur still battling with such hard drive.I believe u av a waste basket.

okay, does any other person have any suggestions. Perhaps how do I restore a corrupt hard disk, or load windows xp on it. I have noticed that there is hardly any computer problem that has no solution. My challenge is to find it.
