To many including Doyin Okupe who suddenly start name calling Iyiola Omisore because he has decided to work for the APC should all cover their heads in shame simply because he turned them down. It is important to know that PDP made Omisore as much as Omisore made PDP especially in Osun state.

He singlehandedly brought that party to the state after falling out as deputy governor to the then governor Bisi Akande. The PDP's first ever recorded victory was in Ile-Ife after the death of Odunayo Olagbaju (RIP).

Few years later, the PDP took power while Omisore was in prison for alleged murder of the late Chief Bola Ige, as we all know politicians only play the game for interest (personal interest), when the PDP lost power to Aregbesola, all party heavyweights abandoned the party including the late Senator Adeleke, Former Governor Oyinlola etc. Omisore and Erelu Obada stood aground to face the APC government and tried as much to keep the party afloat. However, suddenly there was a gang up and this was rightly so as Iyiola Omisore has always been a tough headed and stubborn character. Truth is no tree can make a forest but a pack of trees cannot be called a forest if "Iroko" tree is absent. Letting Omisore who kept the party against divisions in Osun and South West leave without any persuasion just because the Adeleke's are money bags was a miscalculation.

Omisore's grouse with PDP:

Fayose factor:

For those who may not know, Governor Fayose was amongst those who betrayed Omisore amongst other factors and cost him his 2014 governorship victory simply because Fayose feared Omisore may challenge him if he ever became governor for the sole leadership of the PDP in the South West. If both men had becomes governors then, Omisore would have outshone Ayo as a better politician. Need to say Fayose has a vice presidential ambition for 2019.

Wike factor:

If what Deji Adeyanju twitted after the gubernatorial election was anything to go by, Wike is plotting to weaken the PDP by allowing the party field a less popular candidate so Buhari can defeat such candidate then Wike himself can be the party's flag bearer come 2023, simply because if any Northerner wins now he will control the party and may jettison Wike's dream. Also, General Babangida had warned PDP in it's last convention to make a South Westerner the party's chairman but Wike knew he couldn't control any of the South Westerners who vied for the post hence he chose his boy, Secondus. Secondus later plotted the exit of Omisore from the party. No one wants an heavyweight to challenge their authority.

The Adeleke's:

Asides Davido who seems to be a free spirited character, the leaders of the Adeleke clan have always been on the bad pages with Omisore, in 1993 when Late Sen. Adeleke became governor, Omisore was one of those who supported him secretly but when that government was in power Omisore wasn't exactly recognized. Moving to the current dispensation, Sen. Adeleke had already discarded the PDP after it lost power in Osun and towards 2014, the late Senator came on air 3 months to the poll to claim President Jonathan had called him to run for the PDP ticket, Jonathan rebuffed the story and 3 weeks to elections, Adeleke decamped to the APC while former governor Oyinlola decamped 3 days to election. The rest is now history.

Unfortunately, after the death of the late Serubawon, Ademola and political leaders in Ede land and PDP in Osun then resolved to work for Ademola as Omisore was sponsoring the LP candidate due to fractionalization of the PDP (Ali Modu Sheriff), Omisore had to collapse his LP mchinery for the PDP Ademola won the election and became a PDP member, the agreement then was when the time comes, Omisore would have their support as well. Months later there was a gang up against Omisore, Ademola has the new leader (only Senator) from Osun instead of pacifying both sides, took sides with the anti Omisore faction and they eased him out of the party. Even though everyone Omisore's dream was the governorship. It can now be confirmed that Ademola's support of the other faction was because he was also eyeing the coveted seat as some leaders were urging him on. I don't blame him or anyone for being ambitious but I blame those who blame others.

Till date, many of those who left with Omisore who had worked for the victory of Ademola then including Omisore, former Minister of Police Affairs (Jelili Adesiyan, who himself hails from the same Senatorial district as the Adeleke's) himself are claiming San. Ademola never for once called to appreciate their supports or efforts.

If the Adeleke's weren't feeling too superior because they are money bags, one would have expected Deji and Demola themselves to personally meet Omisore and offers guarantees but pride comes before a fall, they chose people to go meet the man and speak on their behalf. Their conscience is their problem here. In politics its all about interest and compromise, something Tinubu seems to understand better.

Too painful APC might find it's way back into the OSUN government house and we can only hope whoever wins will be fair enough to the people because none of both sides will put the people first. There's a Yoruba adage "Okuta ti omole ko sile...."

God bless Osun State,..God bless Nigeria...

The winning party or person depend on the voting power of osun citizens.

If u like give omisore presidential ticket
If u like make davido free concert from morning till night.

The people will vote their choice

Sharrap.

Omisore was destoryed by APC, called a murder and they even attempted on his life multiple times.

Omisore if he is truly helping APC is his own worst enemy and he hates not only the people he is suppose to represent... but he hates himself.

All of u staying in Lagos and analyzing happening in osun

1)Omisore formed the cabal that successfully muzzled out oyinlola.. Up until the eve of pdp's mega rally in osun oyinlola was still intrested in pdp

2)he forced Adeleke out of PDP because Adeleke was also vying for the ticket... APC snatched him right away...and they dealt with him

3)his anger issues got better of him again as he refuse to accept all peace parley before finally leaving pdp

He worked hard, he's loyal but he's hot tempered

That's why he ended up in Sdp

On getting to Sdp, Sdp have two factions, two candidate he's always causing trouble

I remember there was an attempt to assasinate the late Senator Adeleke then, and fingers were pointing to Omisore as the person behind the attempt.

Weeks later, Adeleke decamped to APC.

There are also allegations that Omisore was behind the assasination of Olagbaju in Moore, Ile-Ife.

Truth is I never liked Omisore as he strikes me as a very authouritarian and violent character. But he has an almost cult-like following among the Ife people. He is a force to be reckoned with as far as Osun politics is involved.

He seems to be a necessary evil.
