The warning strike declared by organised labour continues friday despite the intervention of the presidency, which met on Thursday with leaders of the striking workers at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Abba Kyari, had met with Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Mr. Ayuba Wabba, and his team to work out a truce that would see the workers suspend the strike and return to work while negotiations resumed on Thursday as proposed by the federal government. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/09/28/strike-continues-as-presidency-labour-fail-to-agree/ |
