Nice suggestion. But Nigerian Democracy is not yet ripe for this method.

What about millions of Nigerian citizens that don’t have a bank account? In my opinion I would suggest a real time electronic device that will display votes as they come in in each polling unit, this display will be put up like a bill board with the info of each participating party, as people enter the booth to vote, it registers. You’ll eliminate manual counting and manipulation of figures.

Nice opinion, however, many do not have bank account. There is an alternative, which is to tie PVC to National Identity Card (NIC). The NIC will be the basis for actualizing your suggestion. Additionally, Political parties should insist that the card readers are made to print a ballot or voting ticket, where ballot printing are impracticable.

The voting ticket becomes admission ticket into the polling booth. On completion of voting, voters are made to thumbprint the voting ticket also, to validate such vote. That way, votes are matched with voting tickets and where there fraudulent stuffing of ballots are suspected, they can be reviewed for biometric analysis at tribunals

Unfortunately, we have a group of politicians who have personal interest and less of Nigerians.
