Popular singer, David Adeleke, AKA, Davido has reacted to the outcome of Osun State governorship election.

Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke was the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the election.

DAILY POST had reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Oyetola winner of the gubernatorial election in Osun State.

The State Returning Officer, Prof. Joseph Adeola Afuwape said Oyetola garnered 255,505 votes to defeat his main rival, Senator Ademola Adeleke who polled 255,023 votes.

However, reacting, Davido who had on Thursday raised the alarm that PDP supporters were not allowed to vote in some LGs where the supplementary election took place and claimed that APC thugs were seen assaulting voters, said he has left the situation to God.

The singer while affirming a tweet from a fan which reads, ‘So the Osun election was rigged as per Mr Oshiomole,’ said ”God knows best.

”Best believe he will come through soon.”

Delegations from the Missions of the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States observed the voting in the Osun State re-run election on September 27. We once again commend the vast majority of the voters in the state for exercising their democratic rights peacefully.

In contrast to our overall findings on the vote of September 22, we were concerned to witness widespread incidents of interference and intimidation of voters, journalists, and civil society observers by some political party supporters and security agencies. Many of our findings mirror those of leading civil society groups that observed the election.

We commend the work of INEC leadership during both elections. But it is clear that the neutrality of the security services and responsible conduct by party agents, both inside and outside polling units, will be essential to ensure free, fair, credible and peaceful elections in 2019.

We continue to call for calm from all stakeholders and urge that any challenges to the election result be made through peaceful and lawful means.

We restate our position of firm neutrality among all parties and candidates. We remain committed to supporting the Nigerian people in seeing free, fair, credible, and peaceful elections.

Success in politics is different from success in music. You can rig Nigerian election but cant rig music.

Smart westerners.

They echo the truth in a sublime message then dance around their complacency, cos the failure of Africa means their own growth. In the end, they wish you fail but they want to ensure you are professional in your corruption.
