Start From Where You Are, With What You Have by Nafizzey(m): 3:22pm On Oct 01, 2018 |
Bro Ladi (not real name) has been a Big Bros to me since my childhood days. You know those Bros who are far older than you but there’s this synergy between you both; that’s who Bro Ladi is to me. Our communication has been effective even though it’s been eon we saw each other. It was Bro Ladi who first mentioned the words “Efikko and Efiwe” to my hearing. He loved education with passion and could give anything to have it. Unfortunately, he couldn’t secure any job even after good grades from his first degree. Bro Ladi proceeded to get his masters, with the hope that such qualification would attract employers to him. But surprisingly, nothing was forthcoming. Finally, he went ahead to obtain his PHD. His Dad was a retired Bank Manager then. So, financially, Bro Ladi didn’t have difficulties furthering his education. Also, because he was a likeable person, friends were ever willing to assist him whenever he needed helps. He is very cautious and respectful. All these preambles are not our focus for today. After his master qualification, Bro Ladi still couldn’t secure a job. In this present day, some persons with such as Bro Ladi’s predicament would have probably visited 31 Prophets, 27 Alfas and 17 Babalawos to get helps, because the situation would have been tagged “SPIRITUAL”. One of the days, he hung out with few friends, and in the course of their discussion, one of them, who works in a well-known oil company, briefly mentioned that a post of an office assistant was available in his organisation; however, it was for OND holders. Bro Ladi told his friend he would go for the job. The friend laughed at him, and even tried discouraging him severally, especially because of his qualifications, but he (Ladi) kept insisting he wanted the job. His friend, being one of the Line Managers lobbied the Head, Human Resources so as to favour Bro Ladi. Long story short, Bro Ladi got the job – A PhD holder – Cleaner – 65k per month. Not just that, people who are not up to him in age, status, qualification et al would send him on errands, including buying of recharge cards. He did all these with utmost joy, especially as he was now an income earner. About six month down the line, one of the line managers had to resign, because he wanted to relocate to United State. There was an opening, one which Bro Ladi was eminently qualified for. Being a good, reliable and likeable person, there was a unanimous decision by the management staff to promote him to that post. See, whatever your hands find doing, do it with all your heart. Let not money be your motivator. There are people watching, who can recommend you to greater places. Recently, during my casual leave, I was opportune to visit Bro (now Mr. Ladi the biggest boy) he narrated his story to me. Friends, at a point, I had goose pimples all over my body. In the next few months, his salary should hit seven digit-figures. You too can start from where you are, with what you have. Stop waiting for the “perfect time”. Whereas, there will never be a perfect time for whatever you want to do. Start that project now. Make that move now. Make that call now. Write that proposals now. Time waits for nobody. Like Bro Ladi, you can start small and become big. (I feel that’s the best process of life, rather than the other way round). When I first graduated, I drove trucks, selling pure-water. I moved from streets to streets, distributing water; myself and my fiancée then, now wife – She was my “Motor boy”. Please, don’t tell her o, else I will be sued for ‘defamation’ But today, though we are not where we want to be, but we are certainly not where we used to be. The last time I checked, my former “motor boy” now has great stuff she does for living. I call her “Gbogbonishe” – Mrs. Allrounder. And myself? Don’t worry! Just start from where you are. You can start small but you won’t remain small. Trust me. Happy Independence everyone! https://newtelegraphonline.com/2018/09/start-from-where-you-are-with-what-you-have/ 2 Likes |

Happy new month everyone. Without much ado, i'll go straight to the point. The aim of this post is to inform you about how you can earn residual income for yourself and family (spouse and children). It merely involves buying personal care products such as toothpaste, body cream, body and mouth sprays, soap, body wash etc. Notice that these are products for your everyday use. After buying these products, you can then tell others about them. By doing this, you'll be receiving payments every Friday of every week. Its very flexible. There's nothing to lose in my opinion. I know after reading this you guys will have several questions, but I'm not so good at typing long stories. If you need more info on this, you can contact me by call or watsapp on 08164058477. Note: This is not a job. Just a means of making income by the side. Have a blessed day. |
