The APC primaries is currently ongoing and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has defeated Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of the state, at ward c, Alausa, Ikeja, on Tuesday.

According to reports, Olanrewaju Yahaya, the electoral officer in charge of the ward, announced that Sanwo-Olu polled 960 votes ahead of the governor who secured just 4 votes.
Alausa is the seat of power in the state as the governor’s office, state assembly and state secretariat are all there. Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the party, is a registered APC member in ward C.

I don't think it is Tinubu influence, I think most people started hating Ambode because of his press conference.

U may be right though but I don't think one man has d capacity to influence a direct election.

As far as Ambode is concerned, Lagos starts and ends in Epe.

The man has finished Lagos.

It was because of him that we were threatened with death in the Lagos lagoon.

I was actually not too happy that he of all people was being dropped but that his petty and bitchy press conference showed him up as an overgrown baby.

Ibori came back from prison and is still dictating Delta State politics. It's not only by money. He has built loyalty and trust among those who run the street and that's exactly what Tinubu has done in Lagos.

He should fight if he can but he shouldn't hope for sympathy. The same street brought him up in 2015 against more established candidates.

You are right about Ibori.
I'm from Delta and I understand ur opinion about him.
He has loyalty and he still dictates what happens in the party today.
