Tinubu drove in, in a black colored tinted AC SUV and left after 10 minutes but see the hungry looking and suffer head lagosians queuing up and wasting their lives just because of less than 10k. What a pity. |

Ambode with no political clout, no political base was chosen and backed by the entire party structure against a Jimi Agbaje, a heavy weight. Fashola campaigned and toured the state with him, Fashola singled-handedly ran the campaign..I read about the Ikorodu and Mushin rally. Fashola took him round the state and made sure Jimi Agbaje with the Fed might was defeated. Fashola despite the beef between them, despite the fact that Supo Shasore his candidate lost at the primaries put the party first and ensure Ambode was successful. Rather than acknowledged his predecessor, he started a campaign of calumny against him, releasing documents to tarnish his image. He went after contractors, abandoned some projects. Party elders intervened oga no listen..He must ruin Fashola. Ilubirin, Adiyan water works, odo - Iyalaro waste water project, Mile2 - Badagry..removed Oresanya LAWMA boss, sacked LASAA boss, sacked LAMATA boss, disorganized LASEB, disorganized LAWMA, public works, changed KAI to LAGESC. Oga calm down, he no listen. + Sacked Alausa Chaplain because wife was not first to take holy communion + Increased Toll fees and property tax + Treating electorates with disdain. No communication and accessible + Abandoning the Lagos healthcare plan + Dilapidated infrastructure + Unconcern to traffic gridlock Disengaged almost 300 health volunteers who have put five years of their lifetime into volunteering for Lagos state primary healthcare system. Stepped into data gathering and management. They have become experts in the data system. Sack them just because FASHOLA recruited them. Nobody could reach him to advise him. Till today Oga Ade is yet to provide land for National Housing project despite Fashola's plea as minister of Housing.. 30 states have. Lagos no gree give land. #SanwooluForGovernor #Au revoir Ambode 5 Likes 1 Share |

nwakibie3:There are two types of primary election; Direct and Indirect. What they used here is the Direct type where all members of the party participate to elect their candidate. Under the Indirect system all members of the party select delegates who inturn take part in the partys primary election to elect the partys candidate. |

The next move against Ambode is impeachment by state HOA members if he attempts to decamp to another party after his defeat at this primaries. Tinubu has it all planned out perfectly. So for those expecting Ambode to decamp to PDP, such move may end up working against him. The mistake Ambode made was not taking control of grassroot politics in Lagos. Tinubu has always been smart in choosing technocrats as governors rather than core politicians because such move will help him keep control of the grassroots and give him the leverage to boot out his anointed technocrat governors when they mess up. The same fate almost befell Fashola until the last minute when Tinubu succumbed to pressure and realigned his support with him. Until Lagos governors learn to play grassroot politics rather than feel comfortable ruling the state from government house, they can never have that advantage over Tinubu. This is what plays out in states like Kano, kwara and rivers where former governors are still able to control politics to some extent within, because they are core grassroots politicians. 4 Likes |

nwakibie3:This is a Direct primary it involes all card carrying members to vote, but unlike the indirect primary which involves selected delegates which is widely practiced |

If performance is anything to rate and support Ambode, we in ikorodu will not support him. Come to Ikorodu and see the level of disrepair and suffering of our people on the very very bad roads. Point to one project Ambode has executed in ikorodu. Yet all we hear is Ambode is working. For this reason, I have no support for him. Non performance is a certificate of failure as far as we in ikorodu are concerned. 1 Like |

I do not believe any tears should be shed for Ambode. As one of the twitter posters said being governor doesnt mean you are a sole administrator. So many people are on here shouting about Godfatherism, but please tell me where in the world is God Fatherism not practiced. In the US, the National Rfle association and Koch brother are God fathers are they not/ All republicans seek their Godfatherism(money, large pool of supporters) when they want to be elected and policies are adopted to favour the Godfathers such as lower corporate taxes or in the case of the NRA stopping all gun control legislation. In the UK the Unions are the God fathers of the labour party and the CBI are the Godfathers of the conservatives. There is nothing unique to us in Nigeria when it comes to Godfatherism. It is part and parcel of politics rightly or wrongly. For what its worth Tinubu could not have stopped the revolt against Ambode. Ambode stepped on many toes in Lagos and and was expecting his Godfathers to bail him out and impose him on party members. Trying to impose Ambode for a second term would have been the begining of the end for Tinubu. 1 Like |
