Is not true brother , as an Yoruba man, I believe we don't have a name for TELEPHONE, bcoz our language is incomplete

OCTAVO:
Yoruba - Ẹ̀rọ ìbánisòrò

for the Yoruba, here is the correct name of a phone be it mobile, land-line or fixed wireless. Yoruba don't have the name variant for varying phone gadget like some people are arguing. OCTAVO is quite right on point,

Èro means Machine

Ìbánisòrò means Conversation or Communicate.

Àgbéká or Àlágbèká means Mobile.

Hence Èro Àlágbèká means Mobile Machine which in turn can be any tool not being specific.

While Èro ìbánisòrò means a Communication or Conversation Machine (telephone of any kind). A mobile phone in turn would be 'Èro ìbánisòrò Àlágbèká.'

You dead wrong there bro. The Yoruba language so beautiful and well completed, every language on earth larks the name variant for the invention of other people it is either you adopt the original name for the invitation/word or you create one for it.

No language is ever complete. None, absolutely. If you know one, tell me.

Meanwhile, what's the English word for phone before it was invented?
