The APC National Working Committee (NWC) board on Tuesday dropped the activity that occurred before in the day in the Lagos governorship essential race, saying the preliminary procedure for the decision had quite recently been closed.

The Chairman of the board, Chief Clement Ebri, talked at a news meeting in Alausa, Ikeja.

"The preliminary procedure had quite recently been finished up for the primaries. The essential is to start at any point in the near future.

"There was no race. Decision materials are being arranged. "The stage is set and race starts whenever from now. We have rules and we will adhere to the rules.

"In view of the political pressure in the state, we chose to be exceptionally watchful, extremely systematic. As gathering men, peace is more imperative to us than triumph.

"We need a sort of triumph that will be praised by the two gatherings.

"We need a decision that will be tenable and in accordance with the rules, the surviving tenets and the laws of the nation.

"Furthermore, that is the thing that we have done. We are prepared to go to the field and execute this. So that toward the day's end, we won't be blamed for partisanship. Lagos is imperative to us and it is a lead of the APC," Ebri said.

He said that the board was prepared to give the most dependable essential to the state and would contact the national base camp for data on the preliminary procedure.
