Osun Election 2018: Foreign Observers Biased, Partisan – APC Chairman, Famoodun by Giftedhand92: 10:02pm On Oct 02, 2018
An APC chairman, Prince Gboyega Famoodun who spoke at a press conference in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, accused Foreign observers which include the European Union, American Embassy, and Centre for Democracy and Development of speaking from the two sides of their mouths, saying they lack the necessary knowledge to understand the political terrain of the state.

The APC Chairman who said the victory of his party was incontestable in any way, slammed foreign observers over their reports on the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state, accusing them of being biased and partisan.
Famoodun who further threatened to expose the secret of alleged manipulation of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the contest, specifically mentioned Ede, the hometown of Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the PDP.

“Without prejudice to the sensibilities of innocent victims that might have been mistakenly affected, we challenge any observer, civil society organization or journalist manhandled, intimidated, harassed and stopped from performing his assigned statutory role during the supplementary election to come forward.

“We have indisputable evidence that for the last election, indeed one week to the vote, the PDP withdrew cash from the banks in Osun to the tune of N18 billion. From one bank alone, they allegedly withdrew N13 billion. This is money laundering and a crime against our banking law.
“This money is used to buy PVC, induced voters, corrupt electoral officers, political party agents and law enforcement agents, particularly in Ede North and Ede South local government areas where they returned an outrageous 35,537 combined votes for PDP.

“Where security was imperfect or inadequate, the PDP used hundreds of voters’ cards which they had bought from their owners to vote multiple times in several locations.
“This was how they won during the Senatorial bye-election that brought their candidate into the Senate in the first instance, they did same in Ede during the first ballot of September 22.”
