Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, today met with over 200 repentant militants who terrorised residents of Ukanafun and Etim Ekpo Local Government Areas of the state for sometime now during a disarmament exercise.



The epitome of Peace Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel was accompanied to the historic and heart-ranting event by his Deputy Mr Moses Ekpo, Commissioner of Police Mr Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, Senior Citizens of the Area including PDP National Legal Adviser Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Mr Udo Ekpenyong and Security Operatives.

Governor Udom Emmanuel commended them for embracing peace and urged them to pray for genuine repentance, assuring them of a new lease of life.
