In 2003, when the concept Chrysler SRT-8 was first shown to the public, it was introduced as having "over 400 horsepower." On August 13, 2004, the actual SRT-8 debuted with 425 horsepower, coming from a 6.1 liter Hemi powerplant. Both the power rating and engine size had been rumored for at least a year - though some sources insisted it would be 500 horsepower, Viper territory. Perhaps there's some reserve for the future; perhaps not. It does seem as though the team has pulled out the stops for this one. SRT-8 is based on the standard SRT name given, confusingly enough, to vehicles modified by the PVO Group - that's Performance Vehicle Operations. SRT originally stood for "Street and Racing Technology" but now stands for "Strip, Road, and Track" - similar to the old R/T designation which seems to have been abandoned.

Big power needs big brakes, and this SRT has got 'em. Massive (14.2-inch front, 13.8-inch rear) discs team with four-piston Brembo calipers to haul the 300C SRT-8 down quickly. Chrysler estimates that the 300C SRT-8 will require just 110 feet to stop from 60 mph.

[b]Ride and Handling The Chrysler 300C SRT-8 is conditioned for outstanding ride and handling across the dynamic range that customers are likely to experience. Chassis setup for the Chrysler 300C SRT-8 is aimed at all-around performance with a number of enhancements, including tuned dampers, specially tailored spring rates and suspension bushings and larger-diameter anti-sway bars. New front and rear suspension knuckles contribute to a ride height lowered one-half inch from the Chrysler 300C. And, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) has been specially tuned for the SRT-8's performance handling characteristics. The Chrysler 300C SRT-8 connects with the road via a new wheel and tire assembly consisting of 20-inch forged aluminum wheels shod with high-performance Goodyear F1 three-season tires (four-season tires are an available option) with asymmetrical tread. Tire dimensions are a beefy 245/45/20 in the front, and 255/45/20 in the rear. Braking performance goes hand-in-hand with the new Chrysler 300C SRT-8's outstanding accelerating and speed - and the braking system was specially designed to slow and stop the car safely and predictably. At the same time, this system was designed to provide benchmark braking performance, setting a new standard for sedans in its class. All four wheels feature stout performance calipers developed by Brembo - well-known in racing and high-performance circles - equipped with four pistons for even comparing performance. Up front, the Chrysler 300C SRT-8 has 360 x 32mm vented rotors, with 350 x 26mm vented rotors in the rear. [/b] |

HEY BOSS,I SAW THIS SAME CAR IN FESTAC SOME DAYS BACK,THIS MACHINE IS STUNNIN,THE BLACK HEADLIGHTS ATTRACTIVE ME, DIDNT KNOW IT HAD LAMBO DOORS,VERY NICE PIMPING. IM CURRENTLY WORKING ON A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. IM FIXING DOOR CHROMES,CHROME DOOR HANDLES,18 INCH CHROME RIMS,CHROME FRONT GRILE AND 3 SCREENS 2 ON THE HEAD REST AND ONE ON THE DASHBOARD, IM NOT TOO COMFORTABLE WITH THE BASHBOARD DVD,I DONT WANT TO TAMPER WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OF THE CAR. Nice machine. Good workmanship in the fixing up and pimping the ride [size=14pt]However, i am not convinced that this is a REAL SRT-8. Looks more like a fixed up regular 300. Disclosure: Carshopper is a business associate. I have no financial involvement in the advertized car. How about the SRT-8 stamped on the glove compartment (opposite the front passenger's seat?). It can be seen clearly in the 4th picture from bottom. Does that settle the arguement? |

BizBooks: That above the glove compartment is just an aftermarket logo. Only the engine pics will do. The seats doesn't even look like that of SRT-8. The SRT-8 has an aura to it. You can't miss it. You can feel it just looking at it. Even in the pics. Its conjures something within you. At least for those who knows. SRT-8 seat for your comparison

like 4years late but this negro's lying through his anus. This is a 6cylinder Touring/Limited. It's not even a 300c, not a 300 SRT-8 Design package talkless of an actual 6.1L Hemi SRT-8, with really awful vinyl stickers all over the interior. From the front bumper to the missing rear diffuser, the missing leather/alcantara seats with the SRT8 badge, the missing Chrysler MyGig etc, it's very easy to see this is a scam. All the unnecessary mods on the interior make it look like one of those Danfos/faragon in my opinion. All thats left is the multicolored lights on the roof and you'd be right at home at the motorpark. Don't know why niggas cant just tell it like it is though, like they dont think we've owned these cars or have internet to check up on some of these bogus things they be claiming. If you are upgrading a car, lets see what it was at the beginning and show us the finished product. Whats with all these lies though ?? I'mma gon' head and sip this tea though...............................refreshing |
