You just have to go out there and get the job done. Spain has done that tonight and the past five matches. They've gotten breaks (Paraguay's missed penalty, Muller missing the semifinals, Robben's misses tonight, etc), but they have made sure that at the end of it all, they've won every knockout match.

They were the better team, so they won. Winning in football is not all about playing well, it is more of scoring goals and Spain did just that and won the World Cup. Congartulations Spain, better luch next time Holland!

spain won the world cup base on merit period. As matter of fact this intensify had work paid off. Spain have great individual talent and great team ability.

In the past, everybody played like Brazil, beating the crap out of everybody on the way to the finals. These days, the approach is to start defensively and grind out the result. Spain did just that, and took the gold. They started later than everybody, had to rely on a few lucky breaks, but still did what was required.

Though I think if they had faced quality opposition from Day 1, the likes of Brazil, Germany, Holland, Argentina, they might have been knocked off their stride. But for once, they didn't peak early, as they are wont to do, and that worked out for them. Their best game was against Germany.

THE SPANISH team deserve it, they maintain their pressure on the Netherlands. Before the game starts I'd wish Netherlnd to take the cup after reaching finals on 4 occasions but spain pressurized them.
