Have you tried to gauge the oil to make sure it is not too low?
Re: Pls I Need Help--------- Vento Oil Light Beeps by Onwan: 6:14pm On Jul 12, 2010
@OP
You need to confirm the oil level, like Fhemmmy rightly pointed out PLUS the oil quality. If its all okay, then it might be an electrical problem. An easy point to start from is to disconnect the battery terminals for about 15 minutes then reconnect it. (All these before checking the oil level sensor and wiring)

IF the problem persists, then you need to check IF there is any oil leakage anywhere, OR the oil filter is well fitted (very important). Please let us know

Yeah . . . IF the level of oil is aiight.
And the light still comes on a flashes. you either have a clogged/bad pump or pickup tube, or a faulty sensor.
But by the noises you are hearing have a specialist check for pump/pickup failure

Good luck

@poster,
since d oil and filter re changed,oil level ok, well i advice u disconnect the wire to the oil sensor,located on the oil cooler or the oil filter housing,then check if the light still beep,if yes then its an electrical fault,but if no,then change d oil sensor.

Dont forget to make sure the oil is up to the level that it ought to be, once that is all done, like suggested above, make sure you have someone check it out, to make sure you dont have a blockage.

thats always the problem with volkswagen cars.the problem i can tell you is simply elecrical related. but i know that you can drive the car for the next 10years with that same problem and it wouldnt cause any damage to the car.I know some1 who drives a vw jetta with the same problem and he has driven it for years without any problem.

thats always the problem with volkswagen cars.the problem i can tell you is simply elecrical related. just do what onwan has said. but i know that you can drive the car for the next 10years with that same problem and it wouldnt cause any damage to the car.I know some1 who drives a vw jetta with the same problem and he has driven it for years without any problem.

That will not be a good idea to drive it like that.
better to attend to the prob and not cause further damage

octar6 may be partially correct. If you check most older Volkswagen vehicles, their oil switches are almost always blinking.

They are not necessarily major problems but common electrical faults. However, this does not preclude carrying out the necessary checks.

its a small problem.go to volkswagen mechanic and let him use a plier to tighten the oil switch or change it entirely.its just a small electrical problm.i hav encounterd similar problm wit my golf 3 gti and it didnt take my mechanic two mins to fix.
