Former Chelsea and England Captain has announced his retirement from the beautiful game which saw him have a career that spanned for 23 years with his last match coming in Aston Villa's 1:0 win over Fulham in May this year in the Championship play off's finals The 37 year old made the announcement today in a social media post having had a total of 73 caps for his country England. He is being wished a good life out of the game from fans, former teammates and well wishers all over the world The Former Chelsea captain will always remain in the hearts of all Chelsea fan in Stamford Bridge where he won numerous trophies over the years.
