It is surprising that we do not learn from history. The APC is making exactly the same mistakes made by the PDP in 2015. Any adult Nigerian who was not involved in the PDP government in 2015 and not also involved in this APC administration sees clearly that the APC is set for a huge loss in 2019. The national mood as regards the Buhari government is as bad as the GEJ era if not worse. Buhari's fanatic support base is still intact. The support base alone is however not enough to guarantee an APC victory. Buhari won in 2015 because Nigerians were tired of PDP misrule and impunity. The first big mistake made by PDP was imposing GEJ as their candidate despite the discontent among party members. This led to the exodus of party bigwigs to the opposition. Has any party done the same in recent times? Yes! The APC. While back in 2015, the PDP was as pompous as a peacock, the APC was transparent, eager to please and accommodating of anyone that wanted to join its fold. Today, one party has become the acclaimed proud peacock. The selfsame wiser APC of the past and in a twist of fate, the once power drunk PDP has quickly repented of foolishness. The PDP is now a true bearer of democracy. I daresay that GEJ had more acceptance in 2015 than GMB presently has. APC is however too power drunk to prevent history from repeating itself. APC's best bet would have been to conduct a docractic and indircet primaries among party faithfuls to choose a presidential candidate. The charade of direct primaries conducted among the fanactical followership of GMB was a good example of an exercise in self deceit and failure to listen to the cries of the masses. APC should have prevented the big wigs from leaving the party by conducting a proper primaries determined by party faithfuls. It is perplexing that Tinubu would allow a democractic process which led to the removal of Ambode in Lagos State but ignore the necessity of such process at the federal level. Well, in all fairness, Lagos is of more concern to his well being than a federal govermennt where his influence wanes further daily.

The present state of affairs in the Nigeria polity clearly tells us who will win in 2019. This is especially so due to the clout of the Wazirin Adamawa. He is a man who can play as dirty as required while matching tit for tat. If Buhari supporters want to see the blood of jackals and baboons, I daresay Atiku could also include the blood of crocodiles and camels in the menu. History is a teacher whose lessons we ignore at our own peril. APC would lose the presidential elections to PDP in 2019. In any case, unlike Buhari who would go into political infamy as the most bigoted president Nigeria ever had, Tinubu might be lucky enough to see APC win Lagos thereby retaining his political relevance. Moreover Lagos was known to always be in opposition to the centre. This is most probaly a reloading of those good old opposition days. Lol.

Note that I informed my readers of Atiku's capability to fight electoral manoeuvring by APC. If Buhari would not be decent in accepting defeat like Jonathan, he would be forced out by Nigerians.

Lol! Funny people. Buhari will lose south east, we all know that. But the man will defeat Atiku in the north east, south west, and north west(with huge margin). North central will be 50/50. He will get at least 30 percent of south south vote.
Buhari will defeat Atiku in the end

What Nigeria needs is a neutral non-tribalistic and economy minded person... Currently seems only ATIKU can set Nigeria back on track....

Just leave them... the simple but pragmatic analysis you've posted here, they will not accept - or pretend not to see or agree with. Let any few of them that have hears, hear. The current euphoria permeating 'them' following Atiku having just grabbed the PDP's presidential ticket, will soon wane, anyways.

February 2019 is just a few short months away...

When reality hit them, they will claim it was rigged. The North west, north east, south west, and 30 percent( thanks to Edo and delta votes) will return buhari to the seat. Bihari knows he won't win the south east so I doubt he will focus his attention on that side
