Ebonyi Central Senatorial candidate under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, has accused the immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, Martin Elechi of being behind the death of two APC’s delegates. Senator Julius Ali Ucha, a former national assembly member, who disclosed this to journalists in Ebonyi State, stated that Elechi made good his threat of saying that heads would if the committee did not adopt direct primary.

According to him, a youth leader and woman leader were killed in the violence which erupted during Ebonyi Central APC Senatorial primary in the state.

“The committee called Abuja and they were told to go there and conduct indirect primaries. At that point,the committee moved to Onueke just as they were conducting the primary election, hoodlums , barbaric hoodlums attacked innocent delegates.

“They killed our woman and youth leaders in Ezza South Local Government Area, Ifeanyi Eleke. Burnt vehicles, and wounded a number of people. They killed the innocent woman.

“It is very unfortunate. While we were leaving, the former governor Martin Elechi was there. The only thing he ordered is that if the committee did not conduct direct primary, they are looking for war.

“They threatened fire and brimstone. They even threatened that the head of Chinedu Ogah will roll. Eventually, they carried out this dangerous threat. This is the position.

“These people threatened war during the period of accreditation. And if they threatened war and war was executed, there is an obvious connection.

“It is very unfortunate that in the process of trying to acquire power, you will unleash terror, and even rain bullets on your own people. And many people are still lying in the hospital”, disclosed.
