The Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala created for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City and also marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit. The event is usually held on the first Monday in May.

The theme for the 2019 Met Gala is ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion,’ which is going to hold on May 6, 2019.

Lady Gaga, Serena Williams, Harry Styles and Gucci’s star designer Alessandro Michele will co-chair the 2019 Met Gala.

The director of Met Gala said:

“Camp’s disruptive nature and subversion of modern aesthetic values has often been trivialized, but this exhibition will reveal its profound influence on both high art and popular culture.”
