With the choice of Atiku to chose Peter Obi as VP, Yorubas in support of PDP can clearly see they are all lost. PDP top job was at stake and Wike declared that no Yoruba is fitting of that position. An Igbo was appointed, now Atiku as since been declared the presidential candidate of the PDP.

After an intriguing episode it is clear for all to see that the Yorubas in the PDP are of no significance. A repeat of how Yoruba protested to install Ebele Jonathan as president upon the demise of Yardua only to be sidelined from the government is about to repeat itself should PDP win the 2019.

Personally, I know this is not possible but the consciousness of docile PDP members in the west must be awake so we do not end up with an Azikwe appointing an Igbo as VC of University of Ibadan in this century. Precisely how Pius Anyim took over Ebele’s government to annihilate the West from government.

Anyone clamoring for vote in YorubaLand must come to the table with tangibles. What tangibles does Atiku as to offer us ? Will a handshake across the Niger as is being clamoured by Afenifere be all the Yorubas deserve in enthroning Atiku to the number position in Nigeria. How does one juxtapose this with the VP we are enjoying with Buhari.
