In a sixty minutes interview, the US president has vowed to severely deal with Saudi-Arabia if it is discovered that the Journalist, Jamal Khashoggi is murdered.
Khashoggi was reported to have entered the Saudi-Arabia consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on October 2 to obtain paper works that would allow him marry his Turkish fiancée, Hatice Cengiz. He has been missing ever since.
According to the Fiancée, who was alleged to be waiting outside the consulate for him, Jamal Khashogi never came out of the consulate till now.
Saudi government has however denied any involvement in the disappearance of the Journalist stating that the lost Khashoggi left the consulate that afternoon through a back door. Turkish government has asked the Saudi government to prove that the journalist left the consulate.
According to some evidences provided, audio tapes of struggling with Khashoggi within the consulate has suffaced.
Although bensam has not verify the validity of the claims, It was reported that the murder of Khashoggi was carried out by thirteen armed men sent from Saudi Arabia to execute him on the day he was to visit the consulate.
They were given orders to dismember the victim’s body and record video tapes which will be taken out of turkey to show that the mission was executed. At the present notwithstanding, there has not been final proof on to Khashoggi’s wellbeing.
The US would be in difficult situations if it is confirmed that Saudi power was involved in the murder since Saudi-Arabia remains a strong ally to the United States in the Middle East. The extent to which the US can pursue the case is therefore still doubtful.
The incidence has led to withdrawal of a growing number of global businesses from an upcoming summit to be held in Saudi-Arabia.


Khashoggi is undoubtedly one of the most influential Arab journalist of the twenty first century and a sworn critic of the Saudi’s government and the crown prince. He disappeared on the 2nd October, 2018 after visiting his country’s consulate in istabul, turkey.
He was born in Medina Saudi Arabia, on the 13 October, 1958.
