Having a job these days is not easy. It is even more difficult to keep a job with companies trying to survive in stiff economic conditions. The aim is to maximize profits by reducing costs. So if a company is not making profit, the employer can take drastic steps which may include firing existing employees.

Companies use fancy terms to describe it. They may say they are reorganizing, downsizing or re-engineering. Whatever term they use the fact is that certain persons are sacked or asked to resign.

Picture this scenario- You try your best at work to deliver in any assignment given to you but yet your boss tells you that you are not doing enough. After series of yelling and complaints here comes the big bang. You hear the words “you are not meeting up to our requirements and so, we no longer need your services” or “you are fired”

Some people may hear these words in a movie without really knowing how painful they are. You won’t really understand the effects of those words unless you have been in this scenario before.
