These people just want to get into office and put the state on debt. They have no viable business plan to increase revenue and all the money they borrowed was not use for any project that will yield substantial revenue.

Looking at what that governor left behind it looks like we will have to stick with Buhari. PDP is a dangerous party to give your wallet. I can't leave my dog with them.

This is serious. Our states are now fully dependent on the center instead of being totally free from the center. State now claim poorest and most backward as a strategy of attracting more funds.

Simple, Ekiti has one of the most potent marijuanas in the world. Nigerian NDLEA burn over N1 trillion worth of marijuana every year. This could have been exported for use in the medical industry for medicinal drugs production. Ekiti could earn $4 Billion every year from export of marijuana only for medical drug production. Canada currently announced a shortfall of 25 - 75% in medicinal marijuana supply. South Africa just announced plan to start export, likewise Ghana. This is an opportunity for Ekiti state, hopefully under Sowore's African Action Congress. Nigeria should stop burning money. There are opportunities all around us. But these dumbos in power are not getting it. But most of the followership are under a evil spell likewise for promoting the two main evil parties. Once bitten hundred times shy.

The debt profile of Ekiti state which was N117 billion at the beginning of the year has risen to N120 billion.

According to a document forwarded to the debt management office by the outgoing state government, the state incurred additional debt of N3 billion between March and June this year.

In September, Kayode Fayemi, governor-elect of Ekiti state, had raised an alarm over N99 billion debt incurred by the administration of Ayodele Fayose.

The DMO had said the debt profile of the state, going by available records then, had increased from N18 billion during Fayemi’s era to N117 billion, under Fayose’s watch.

But Fayose had denied the claim, saying the debt of Ekiti is pegged at N59.5 billion and that it was incurred by Fayemi’s government.

However, in the document forwarded to the DMO Office which was seen by TheCable, the state’s debt profile rose from N117 billion to N120 billion within three months.

The components of the debt, according to the document, shows commercial bank loans pegged at N2 billion, federal government and state bond of N18.2 billion and N3.5 billion respectively as well as budget support facility of N16.9 billion.

There are also a salary bail out of N9 billion, excess crude account of N9.5 billion, commercial agriculture loan of N163.4 million, contractors arrears of N2 billion pension and gratuity arrears of N22.2 billion.

Others are salary arrears of N8.3 billion and judgement debt of N95 million.

Fayose secured the approval of N10 billion supplementary budget from the state house of assembly, a month to his handover billed on October 16.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited him to its head office in Abuja.

Look Fayose has categorically said if anyone said he took a loan or debt that person should show record of transactions, show us evidence of the loans fayose took, not this disjoined crab, which one be judgment debt, salary arrears n so on again?, is this how the debts if other states is structured or this is just a desperate attempt to contradict n paint fayose bad?,thank God fayose is around n he will surely speak out for himself.

the pattern of our thinking is dangerous. we are more focus on our immediate gain than a last and permanent change , PDP squander everything that would have made this country the envy of many nations. the same thing that makes Dubai what it is today with the price of crude oil at $150/b. A government where few people share the whole destiny and greatness of it's people and the majority struggle from the scrums that falls. it's a pity that some people are still calling for that government to come back. no wonder the majority of people in Jesus era were shouting "give us bananas , crucify him " three years is never enough to fix a country that was crawling to recession. Singapore was worse than this people stone Lee Kuan Yew, whenever he is in any public events but today he is celebrated , why not give this government half of the time we gave to pdp. APC took over when the price of mainstay of the economy was lowest in modern times. why not give them some time to evaluate their performance , three years is definitely not anough. meanwhile am not a politician .
