Aphrygian: I'm sure they are aware of what is involved. pacino26: Nigeria and America are allies and it is in Nigeria's best interest to maintain that status quo. As you can see in the article, the aim is to have the best in Africa, not the world. Thus it is obvious, that the goal is to combat regional threats, not a quest for international supremacy. Does it occur to you that an effective cyber command might help intercept terrorist communications and race their financial system? What about armed robbers and kidnappers? They use the internet and cyber technology to carry out their operations don't they? Yahoo boys and fraudsters nko? |

SmartyPants: At the bolded you just made a case for scrapping DSS NIA DMI and all other groups affiliated with intelligence gathering. If it were the Air Force with an electronic warfare unit I go encourage them. Mind you we don't have organised terrorists and funding in Nigeria. Individuals just sponsor one or two acts then the media goes on to exaggerate it. As for partnering with the US, we might as well give them Sambisa to set up a Base. Aspiring to be the best in Africa means we've to bring home Zinox Technologies and start from there. 1 Like |

pacino26:That is the first thing. Use home growned computers and servers from zinox. China does not use HP or apple in their cyber unit and vice versa the US. We already have anything we need to be truly independent, but there is no substantial IQ needed to implement it properly. |
