Today i'll be showing you guys how to create a password protected folder on your mac osx, this is something most of you may feel like that's a basic operation, it's not that basic and infact Mac os till this date 2018 still doesn't have a menu to set a password to a folder.

I'm going to use disk utility which most of you know about and if you don't, this for tou

Open up a Folder to want to password protect

Open up your Disk Utility , click File, Select image from folder

Go ahead and select your Folder

Rename your folder with what you want to save it as

Now click on the Encryption , select 256-AES Encryption ,setup your password

Make sure your image format is in read/write disk image so you'll be able to modify files\

Press Save and wait for the Operation to complete, and you have your password protected folder.
