*IMO APC ELDERS’ COUNCIL*

*OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI ON GOV OKOROCHA’S ACTIVITIES IN IMO STATE*

We are constrained to use this medium to draw your attentions to the activities of Governor Rochas Okorocha in the All Progressives Congress (PC) in Imo State.
We deemed it necessary to alert you, first as the Chief Security Officer of the nation and second as the leader of the APC and to humbly ask you to call Gov. Okorocha to order to avert failure of the party in Imo State.

You are aware, You Excellency, of how loyal the party and entire people of Imo State have been to your administration. It is because of the singular love that we have for you that has stopped us from engaging in necessary actions to check the activities of the Okorocha government.

After the 2011 election that brought Gov. Okorocha to power, things have gone from bad to worse. He would have lost election in 2015, but your presence and personality gave him another four years grace. Unfortunately, Gov. Okorocha has taken Imo people for granted by trying to achieve a third term through the back door.
Mr. President, when a few months ago the governor boasted that he had secured your approval to embark upon his agenda through the surrogacy of his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, we thought it was a huge joke. One, given your integrity as an upright man and also given the fact that Imo is a cosmopolitan state, we believed it was a pipe dream for this to happen.

However, events of the few weeks are beginning to give us concern not so much as to his capacity to actualize that dream, but the constant dropping of your name as his main backer.
When through a free and fair congress of the party, Imo people, through the delegates, took away the structure from him; he boasted that the will of the party men and women would be reversed by the presidency. True to his boast, he visited Aso Rock and upon his return, the party structure was handed over to him through a convoluted and kangaroo process. We took note of that.

Then came the part primaries. And once again, our people spoke with one voice that they don’t want anything to do with a government that has remained uncountable to them. They freely elected Senator Hope Uzodinma as the flag bearer of APC in Imo State. Again Gov. Okorocha boasted in a live television interview that he was going to Aso Rock to upturn it. The National Working Committee headed by Adams Oshiomhole ordered a fresh primary in Imo State even when a clear and undisputed governorship candidate of APC in the person of Senator Hope Uzodinma had emerged!

Mr. President, while we believe that justice will prevail in the matter, which is now in court, we also want you to take note of this particular incident. By his actions, Gov. Okorocha is telling Imo people that the presidency has approved the candidature of his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu. He used the recent visit of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to Imo State as a seal of approval from your office.
It is necessary to state here that nobody denies Uche Nwosu the right to contest the Imo governorship election if he won the primaries. The young-man knows that on his own, he would not even attempt to seek the Councillorship of his ward. But it rankles when Gov. Okorocha wants to use the young man to achieve a third tenure. It is even nauseating that the governor thinks that Imo State is his private estate and he will single handedly decide who gets what in the state.
It is not curious Your Excellency that while the governor wants to foist his son-in-law as the successor, he wants himself to go to the Senate while his blood sister will go to the House Representatives? In other words, Imo is now a monarchy where king Okorocha plays god. If Gov. Okorocha had done well in the last seven and half years, perhaps nobody would have begrudged him his fantasy.

It is not that we don’t know what to do both constitutionally and otherwise to rid ourselves of Okorocha, but we have come to you Sir, because the man is dropping your name as his backer. We are specifically asking for your intervention because we love you and would do everything to ensure that you win the 2019 presidential election.
Where upon Your Excellency, our simple prayers are:

*That you cause Gov. Okorocha to stop dropping your name.

*That you prevail on Adams Oshiomhole and NWC of APC to respect the will of Imo people who have chosen Senator Hope Uzodinma as the flag bearer of the party in the State.

*That you cause the NWC of APC to halt the violent violation of the will of the people to please Gov. Okorocha.

While we look forward to your fatherly intervention Sir, may we humbly submit that any attempt by APC NWC or any other body for that matter to assist Gov. Okorocha have his way in Imo State will be counter-productive.

We do not believe that APC will deliberately throw away Imo State because of the ambition of one man. For us, no sacrifice will be too great for us to reclaim that state from an nza, which has challenged its god to duel.

*Dr. Edmund J.K Onyebuchi*
(Chairman Imo APC Elders Council)

He didn't win nada! APC has the final say on how elections are going to be held, and cancelled the earlier one citing irregularities and ordered a fresh one, the same thing happened in Enugu, Adamawa, Abia, Zamfara etc?

Why im wan gree die? If the Court has declared him winner, as you said, then let him go ahead and start his campaign instead of disturbing everybody. Hian!

i thought APC set up an appeal committee for those who have issues to bring forth after primary elections.now my question is,why did Oshiomole cancel the result and disband the Ahmed Gulak election Committee after he had declared Hope Uzodinma winner of the October 1 APC primary Election in Imo State without consulting the Panel?

HOW WILL OBJ EXPUNGE THIS FROM HIS BOOK *"MY WATCH"* ‍♂

Obasanjo on Atiku:-

_"What I did not know, which came out glaringly later, was his parental background which was somewhat shadowy, *his propensity to corruption, his tendency to disloyalty, his inability to say and stick to the truth all the time,a propensity for poor judgment, his belief and reliance on marabouts, his lack of transparency, his trust in money to buy his way out on all issues and his readiness to sacrifice morality, integrity, propriety truth and national interest for self and selfish interest"*_
