All these names. Compiling them brought tears to my eyes as I remembered how they took our imagination places. I almost stopped reading foreign books because I encountered their stories.
Let's get their thinking juice up again.

The tears are falling from my eyes right now. Divepen1, I'm honoured and grateful and yeah, I miss you a lot. I miss the whole family here. There are new members that I haven't properly met but all will be fixed in due time.
I only dropped one book and so many count me worthy to be among the legends. I love you all so dearly. Your girl's been going through some stuff but I promise I'll be back. By December, I'll join hands with all of the legends of literature section to rock this place again. Thank you all so much.

Hello guys.
Divepen, you are doing a great job here, more grease to your elbow.

So how would the collabos work? Interested.
Re: Nairaland Literature Legend - Name Calling Thread by kayo80(m): 4:03pm On Oct 27, 2018
Evajael just shared a short concept story with me. Wow! I was blown away. It is different, and the concept is something that could only come from the mind of a deep thinker. She is super talented. I wish there were functioning publishing houses in Nigeria to push talents like her and the others on this forum to the world.

Yea, so I'm calling out Evajael to come and drop a story here.

I'm highly present...

It's been a while since I wrote a story here.... I remember when literature section used to be the heartbeat of Nairaland, but what happened? My guess is, NL budding writers aren't given the necessary encouragement required... It's really funny how someone would sit down for hours cooking up ideas, put them in written form, post here on NL without earning a penny and then some anonymous blogger would just come here, copy your story and post on their blog for money, sometimes without even acknowledging the original author!

I think this is where Seun and his moderators should look into in order to curb plagiarism.....

The prisoner stirred in his golden prison
And the rising Sun marked yet another day

He grasped the boulder with weary hands
And pushed again with strenuous might

His muscles bulged from all the strain
As it had done a thousand times before and again

Years of toiling, years of sweat
Yearning for his gift that was just beyond his reach

Made of gold, yes, but still a prison
Fed, tended, yes, but still a prisoner

The stony lock met him stare for stare
A force immobile for so many years

He sighed, stopped, bowed his head
As sweat and blood trickled down to the earth

He would give up but he didn't know how
The fire burned unquenchable, the fire burned deep

And so for the thousandth and one time he took a deep breath
For the thousandth and one time, he grasped again and pushed

Muscles and sinew and blood and sweat
all mixed and roared for glory to be met

And finally...
The stone began to SHIFT.

What a family? I'm still growing and learning from the legends, hoping to get a mention after my new project.
"Twist of life" wasn't too bad for a novice. though i didn't completed it.
But I know my next story will b better than the last
