Today is the performance of the traditional marriage rite of the new queen of Ile-Ife, Prophetess Oluwaseyi Naomi and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

As the covenant proceeds are being finalized between the royal couple, a picture is going viral at the moment where the 25-years-old queen stepped on blood as a way of completing the marriage rites. This has come as a shocker to several people especially the christian community that were astonished about her decision to get engaged in such an act that is considered to be nefarious.

It is tedious to understand why she would accept this task to engage in a blood covenant. Although it is part of the traditional requirement to getting to a married in the Ile-Ife Kingdom, her followers would however find it difficult to accept.
