The Vote In Peace Campaign was initiated by Agbo Obinnaya Godson, a 400L Law student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. The campaign is a youth oriented outreach aimed at sensitizing the Nigerian youths against election violence.

In his words, "The youths play vital roles in NIGERIANS elections. We are needed to ensure that whole electioneering exercise is complete. From the youth corps who are posted to different election boots to help in conducting the elections to the youths who canvass for votes for their preferred candidates. We are of utmost important. Even the INEC mentioned that the 2019 election won't be realistic without the participation of the youths. So we are out to make statements, we are out to decide and we are deciding to say no to election violence. We are leaders not tugs and we refuse to degrade ourselves to the position of political tugs to foul elections in favour of political miscreants. Everybody is needed in this sensitization programme; we need to talk to more youths. My brothers can't continue to die in the face of every election. It will be different this time if only you will join me in this campaign."

The campaign is expected to shake the whole of social media as youths decide to maintain and encourage a non-violent election in 2019.

Agbo Obinnaya Godson, who is also a student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka further stated that activism is not an easy agenda but with collective engagements things play out well.

While speaking to Fore Magazine, he encouraged more Youths to join the campaign especially in the online sensitization by posting and reposting the adverts.
