I was invited to the house warming and grand opening of a 2 storey building yesterday in Benin City and it was awesome. The house contained single room self contained apartments. I must confess, the house is dope. Someone would even mistake the house for an hotel, looking from the outside as the house is adorned with good lightings. Each room has the following:
Modern wardrobe
Big kitchen with good cabinet
Bathroom and toilet with water heater and hand washing basin.
Switch over for personal generator
POP ceiling.
There's also a general standby generator for the whole house and solar panel for the perimeter lights. And lastly, a security house with security personnel.
So I decided to ask about the annual rent of the rooms. I was told that the price varies according to each floor as follows:
Ground floor - 210k per room
First floor - 220k per room
Second floor - 230k per room.
To me, the house is worth the price but some persons were of the opinion that it's quite costly, considering the fact that one has to pay an additional 10% agent fee for the first year rent. And in my mind, I know if it were to be in Lagos or Abuja, the rent will even be considered cheap.
So Nairalanders, would you be willing to pay such amount as rent for a single room self contained apartment?

100k in Ogun state

50K in Sambisa.

25k in Gwoza Hills

N7,500 in Daura.

3,500 in Okija town

Depending on the area in Lagos that place will be about 800-900k. My place no reach that one and I pay more than that amount in Lagos
