nextstep:

First the Government (i.e. PMB) has to agree, then instruct IG to pay sums. Whether IG will obey his boss is another question entirely.

OK, if they disagree, Gov't can appeal the judgement, which can drag on for years.

Last - which is more to your question - the prosecution is OYO. Unfortunately, thus Gov't has proven more disobedient to court orders, which means "ain't sh1t gonna happen". It's up to us to elect the type of people that will follow court orders and due process.

Thanks for the clarification

My Question is "If the Police refuses to pay, in other words disobey the court order, what will happen since the Nigerian police cannot be arrested?. Someone knowledgeable should reply I want to learn.
If they refuse to pay court we other the freeze of their account and it would be forcefully deducted from their account through the bank...

Yeah there are measures to ensure the money is paid. There is what is called garnishee order, which is like a freeze order on the account of the person who’s is supposed to pay, issued usually by a judge. The NPF have a central bank account so Charlie boy can easily get such an order to enforce the payment, but it’s not usually immediately, he has to give reasonable time before going for a garnishee order. NPF might appeal the judgement though, but these days cases like this are quickly expedited. The judgment is more symbolic as it has set a precedence.

The law is not a respecter of persons.... This is an additional feather to the judiciary's cap.

Very nice, okay here is another scenario, what if the party supposed to pay have no money as it may be?

You can apply the garnishee order on his/her assets that you can identify which you can liquidate to the value of the judgement debt. Lawyers in the house, pls let me know if I’m correct.
