AFE BABALOLA REWARDS 48 FARMERS WITH CASH GIFTS, CHARGES FG ON AGRICULTURE
As part of the year annual Afe Babalola Agriculture Expo, which kicked off yesterday, the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola (SAN) has empowered 48 farmers operating in Ekiti State with cash gifts to boost food production in the state.

The 2018 edition of the expo tagged “ABA-Ex” was held at the Afe Babalola University in Ado-Ekiti.

Speaking while flagging off the 2018 edition the expo Babalola who was represented by ABUAD Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Micheal Ajisafe said, “in the last three years, only 16 farmers were given financial reward and support, this year, 48 will benefit.

NECO SUSPENDS TWO TOP OFFICIALS OVER ALLEGED FRAUD
The National Examination Council Board (NECO) has suspended two of its top management staff for alleged involvement in N400 million fraud.

This is coming barely after six months after the Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Charles Uwakwe and three other management staff were suspended from the office.

It was gathered that one of the management staff involved in the latest fraud is a state officer in one of the Northern states of Nigeria, but the fraud was said to have been committed while he was in charge of the state in the South Western part of Nigeria.

UNILORIN: NYSC Extends Deadline for Registration
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has extended the deadline for registration of corps members at the various camps to Saturday, October 27, especially for newly mobilised University of Ilorin graduates.

This was made known in a memo signed on behalf of the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure by Mrs R.B. Ohakwu.

BELLS UNIVERSITY TO GRADUATE 47 STUDENTS WITH FIRST CLASS DEGREE
Jeremiah Ojediran, the Vice-Chancellor of the Bells University, Ota, Ogun state has revealed that a total number of 47 students would graduate from the institution with a First Class Degree for the 2017/2018 academic session.

Ojediran made this known during a press briefing marking the 10th convocation of the institution in Ota on Wednesday, 24th October 2018.

NAN reports that a total of 491 students comprising 417 undergraduates and 74 post-graduate students would graduate for the academic session.
