Manager Contact Systems Support

Job Description:
Purpose of the Job To ensure that deployed mission critical Contact Systems Solutions provide the required business benefits, through the adoption and implementation of best practices in systems management and operation, world class user support, application life-cycle management and systems Key Results Areas • To provide effective leadership and keep team motivated for effective support • To ensure that defined reports are prepared with 100% accuracy • To ensure that all personnel reporting to you are all times issued with KPA/KPO’s and performance target for approved periods • Manage Celtel Back Office Voice System, • Manage the efficient operation of Contact Systems and Enterprise Voice Solutions • Ensure 99.999% availability of Contact Systems and Enterprise Voice Solutions • Ensure integrity of data and procedure processing on applications • Ensure a high level of security around Customer Support Enterprise Voice and Call Center Solutions • Design, manage and maintain Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Plans and procedures for responsible systems/applications Management • Manage change control on Enterprise Telephony and Call Center Solutions • Manage capacity of production and test application environments • Monitor and enforce SLA • ensure that all changes that occur conform to the Policies and procedures approved • To ensure that world-class solutions are appropriately sign off and documented in the repository. • To ensure that 99% of all Contact Systems Support incidents / problem are resolved in accordance to ITIL best practice and standard of services as stipulated in OLAs / SLAs. Qualification • A good first degree (B. Sc) in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Engineering, or related Business Information degree. • An Advanced degree in Information Systems Management is desirable • Industry relevant certification and/or training in at least THREE of the related core product skills below, is required : • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (I.T.I.L.), COBIT • Information Technology Service Management (I.T.S.M) • Microsoft Solutions Framework or the Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF), Microsoft Windows Administration • Avaya PBX, Ericsson PBX, NICE and Genesys • Unix Systems Administration, Project Management • Database Management & Data Reporting solutions • Information Systems Quality Assurance • IP Networks and IP Phone Call Billing System Experience • A minimum of 7 years POST National Service, work experience in implementing and supporting Contact Systems & Enterprise Voice Solutions, with a minimum of 3 years the Service industry. • Full Life cycle involvement in the implementation of at least THREE major mission critical systems in a Service Industry. Job Description:
Purpose of the Job To 1 Contribute to the definition and management of Vee Network’s data/voice network strategy to give the business a distinctive edge in the converging telecommunications industry. 2 Contribute to the development of standards and policies and procedures to govern the design, delivery, support and continual improvement of the network in line with the company’s business requirements. 3 Provide leadership and extensive technical expertise to envision, design, manage the delivery, enhancement, integration and/or the development of data and voice networks (including call center systems) to enable the company operate efficiently and effectively in a cost effective manner 4 Review on an on-going basis, the physical and support elements of the network and recommend and drive the implementation of enhancements of capacity, reliability, redundancy, uptime, and response to network events to guarantee consistent delivery of performance requirements. Key Results Area 1 Ensure world class procurement and implementation of data and voice networks in line with approved design, project and service management requirements. 2 Ensure that signed off Design, As Built, Operations, KPI/SLA Documentation and effective Training is provided for all requests for network solutions or modifications before acceptance Drive the establishment and operations of proactive management systems (tools, solutions, processes and procedures) 3 Ensure that all such documentation are appropriately documented, reviewed, approved and kept properly filed and indexed in both a physical and electronic repository 4 Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support as may be required to solve network problems and restore failed communications services in line with approved KPIs and SLAs. 5 Ensure that a world class set of processes and procedures are defined, approved and adopted for all network implementation activities. These processes and procedures must justifiably represent best practice within the Telecoms and I.T environments. 6 Ensuring acceptance testing of all new network solutions or implementations/modifications of network and contact systems in line with the approved design and KPIs post implementation 7 Ensure establishment of appropriate standards and procedures and execution for the quarterly review of all communications infrastructure. 8 Drive the establishment of SLAs for Network Support and Operations internally and with relevant stakeholders and suppliers to guarantee 100% network service availability and other approved Key Performance Indicators. The SLAs must be integrated into the Service Management’s SLA management process 1. Qualification  A good first degree (B.Sc.) in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related) is compulsory.  An Advanced degree or Professional Institute Membership, in Information Systems Management or Business Management is desirable  Industry relevant certification and/or training up to CCIE or equivalent is required:-  ITIL ITSM foundation or related certification or demonstrable equivalent experience is essential. 2. Experience  Minimum of 6 years extensive experience in: o Extensive experience in troubleshooting and resolving problems in complex data and voice networks o Designing and implementing multiprotocol, high capacity and complex LANs and WANs consisting of IP, VoIP, Frame Relay, ATM, Wireless, ISDN, SDH/SONET, Optical Fibre, free Space Optics, Fast Ethernet and Gig Ethernet, PPP, VLANs with the following routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and GRE tunnels especially for Telecommunications organizations. o Designing and building PABXs and Contact centers using TDM and VoIP solutions, Call routing technologies e.g. Avaya or Genesys based call routing solutions. o Expert level WAN and traffic engineering and optimization o Designing and implementing security and load balancing technologies including firewalls (Checkpoint/Cisco/ISS), Authentication technologies e.g. Radius, Traffic Management tools and technologies e.g. Netapps Netcache, Websense etc. o Large (over 2000 nodes with national geographic spread and mission critical B2B and B2C integration) network performance management including the protocols, tools, methodologies and organization  2 years experience in Technical management, including staffing, training, coordinating, organizing, monitoring, and coaching technical employees.  In-depth knowledge of security considerations for complex networks, including technically sound policies for secure usage. Knowledge of firewalls, anti-virus, encryption algorithms, security protocols, and monitoring tools. 3.
