It is not an ethical breeding practice to mate ur dog in her first heat as she is still considered a pup, also siding many health reasons: one being her bones are not well developed to carry her and litter. It is advised to mate on her 3rd heat but again ur bitch belongs to u, u can choose to waive everything take the risk and mate her.

All of the dogs I know that were bred in the first heat are still alive and grew up well and same to the puppies

if you know this much you shouldn't have created this thread you are just fighting yourself you opened this thread to seek opinion from other people and now you are fighting against them taking sides with someone who bred his bitch on first heat comparing your dog to local dogs and besides you dog even looks local to me you can go ahead and mate since it is very clear you are only after the money.

You can mate your dog on her first heat it's just adviced by most vets and trainers to mate on 2nd or 3rd heat. However, these are animals which if they were to be left in the wild they'll mate by themselves on their first heat.

If she's blood spotting that means she's mature enough to mate and have puppies that's how God made it, men will say 2 or 3rd heat.

If she's come on heat then she's old enough to have her puppies period!

Sorry mehn... Your dog isn't a pure breed gsd... Don't throw insults on the faces of those with pure breed gsd. Yours is a GSD no doubt but pure is what's missing

I don't quite agree on the halt growth of dog well, no dog stops growing just cos they litter and some dogs stop growing at 2 years some more than that. We've had dogs that was still growing stronger a d bigger head after their first litter
