You would agree that wellness translates to positive mood changes, more energy, and effectiveness at work which enhances productivity, career mobility and success. However living healthy doesn't mean you have to spend all your savings on supplements, expensive gym subscription, and healthy organic diet plans.
Regardless, that doesn't mean you should zilch working out and eating well. With a few simple changes, you can prioritize your health well within your budget and have your savings for other things.

1. Exercise at home
If all you do at the gym is a few minutes run on the treadmill without using the gym’s shower, steam room, or sauna, then it’s best to reconsider your gym membership. On the average, you would spend about N150,000 – N250,000 on a yearly gym subscription excluding gym gear and all that money can go into something more relevant especially if all you use is the treadmill. If jogging is your preferred exercise, all you need is a pair of good sneakers for a jog down the road. You could also get a skipping rope for rainy days when you can’t go out for a jog. You would still be able to achieve the same effect with a skipping rope.
But if the full gym life is your thing, of course, a full membership would be very much needed. The most important thing us

2. DIY Spa
If you spend a reasonable amount of money on a spa subscription and facials are a way of achieving a flawless, glowing skin to make you feel confident, then you might want to try a DIY spa at home once in a while. A treatment could cost you an average of N20,000 to N50,000 per session depending on the package. To spend less on a regular spa treatment, you could replicate a spa scrub from some ingredients you would find around in the kitchen or a supermarket near you like a plain yogurt, honey, turmeric etc.
But if you don’t have the time to create your own scrub or you don’t want to create a mess, then a spa subscription is just what you need. You should get some discounts if you would be doing a long-term subscription especially when Spa treatment is your thing.

3. Blend a customized juice
This might seem like a lot of work to make your smoothie or juice, but the reward is relaxing. Considering the fact that you are sure of what goes into your juice or smoothie, you sure might want to give it a try. All you need would be some minutes or hours to hand pick the fruits you want and blend them up with your food processor. This might create a little mess around the kitchen but there’s nothing as refreshing as a home-made organic juice or smoothie. Making your own juice or smoothie would also give room for more creativity as you would be able to add whatever your cravings are at the moment.

Again if you do not have the time for this or you don’t want to create a mess in the kitchen it’s totally fine to get your juice and smoothie from a vendor you trust to deliver an organic product.

4. Cook your own food
It is true that cooking might be a lot of work for you to do regularly, especially when you have to wake up as early as possible to get to work and sometimes get home late. But eating out every time would cost you more unlike when you cook for yourself. One of the most important benefits of cooking you own meal is that you would avoid allergies as you know the ingredient going into the food and you have a healthier food.
Regardless of the above, living a healthy life would still cost you a reasonable amount of money, but that does not mean it has to cost you all your money. Also, it is important to be committed and strict with a savings plan or emergency plan for life’s expectancy.
