Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by feasy1(m): 3:32pm On Aug 22, 2010 |
its a 6-0 nil season. Newcastle 6- 0 Aston Villa. Who on earth could predict such score line. Now I need at least one of my players to have a groin, calf, or whatever injury in the next few minutes. Can't afford to waste at least 13 points (Nolan) on the bench |
Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by vescucci(m): 3:47pm On Aug 22, 2010 |
This is ridiculous! Conspiracy theorists will say it's cuz Milner has left. Jeebus, I have Dunne in my team! I see red! |

vescucci:It's a bloody nightmare, I tell ya. I've got three Villa players, of which one is Friedel and the other's a defender. Ibime's pretty lucky. For me, this GW's simply crappy. |
Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by Ibime(m): 5:38pm On Aug 22, 2010 |
Nothing lucky about picking Walcott. Wenger always picks him against teams who leave enough space to attack the leftback. What would be the sense of picking a defensive option like Eboue against Blackpool of all teams? I predicted hattrick for Walcott and he delivered. BTW, I played wildcard last week and FPL is still allowing me to play wildcard this week. How is that possible? |
Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by Cristalz(f): 5:58pm On Aug 22, 2010 |
You were lucky. . .how often does Walcott get a hattrick?? I noticed the double wild card thing last week and made a comment here. Guess I was the only one that had seen the way they pluralized their info/instructions on wild cards. |
Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by mystikal(m): 6:02pm On Aug 22, 2010 |
So Hangeland makes me sad and happy all at the same time. My only undoing this week was forgetting to replace Cesc as Captain. |

Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by A40(m): 6:18pm On Aug 22, 2010 |
Omo wetin happen to Villa nau? . Ibime: Ibime: I am Walcott's biggest advocate on this forum but even i didn't even expect him to score a hat-trick. I must say you where quite observant the thing is he can be a real goal-machine if he decides from here on out to actually shoot at the keeper rather than always trying to square the ball even when there is no one in the box Cristalz:That wildcard is mainly an advantage when you want to make wholesale changes (6-10 players)so i feel for anyone that is being miserly with theirs! If your team sucks you might as well use it now |
Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2010/2011 by feasy1(m): 6:43pm On Aug 22, 2010 |
A-40: But the wildcard should be active for only 1 game week, Like Ibime mentioned he played the wildcard before the gameweek 2 deadline, so i would expect the wild card not to be active anymore for gameweek 3 deadline, but guess it is still active NOTE: The second wild card is supposedly active for Gameweeks 23 and 27 , around the January transfer window. Guess a bug in the EPL is allowing the wild card for 7 days (1 week) or the we are being misinformed by the EPL rule |

Thank God Drogba was my captain this week, what a hard one! @Eldee Is the door completely closed on the H-2-H league cos I couldn't join before the league started when I tried to. |
