Hotfreezer: What is the actual definition of that your word "tolerance"? So if I come to your house in the presence of your parent and siblings and I used abusive words on your parent, will you still tolerate me? If you do then paternity test is needed on you..... YOUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS FREE WHEN IT DOES NOT HAMPER THE FREEDOM AND BELIEFS OF OTHERS, IF IT DOES, IT IS NO LONGER FREEDOM. |

sureheaven: This quote is a clear definition of idiocy, imbecilic retardation and symptomatic of a compound ignoramus, intolerant two faced bigot. Read this: "If any think that Allah will not help him (His Messenger) in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and cut (himself) off: then let him see whether his plan will remove that which enrages (him)!" There is really no good reason to put this thread on front page, except apparently for either shock value or to taunt naysayers of Muhammad. Hell, what is insulting Muhammad? To say that "Muhammad sleeping with a 9 years old kid is child abuse or molestation?" People should either express positive opinion on Muhammad or be quiet? You can't just expect people to overlook report of child abuse by a Prophet because it was the custom of the 7th century, just as we can't overlook slavery by the slave masters because it was the norm in the 17th century. You want people to respect your prophet? Start to admit your traditions are corrupted, sex with a 9 years old in any era is child abuse and Muhammad couldn't have done it if he were the Prophet of God. Child molestation is child molestation, whether it is voiced out or not. |

Perhaps a more fitting post for front page would have been on the Pakistani Aasia Bibi in prison and on death row since 2009 for alleged blasphemy. Not a single prominent Muslim, scholar or imam has called out Pakistani authorities for the plight of this poor woman. This Aasia Bibi's case brings out the worst in the Muslim community, utterly refuting the idea that only a tiny minority of Muslims are extremists. Here are a few pictures to ponder on, for those who think only a tiny minorities of Muslims are extremists. 1 Share

More pics. Note, I'm not saying all Muslims are like these. Salman Taseer, a Pakistani governor who spoke out against Aasia Bibi's incarceration and the blasphemy law only to be assassinated in 2011, was Muslim. I'm a Muslim, yet I oppose blasphemy law. I'm falsifying the myth that only tiny minority of Muslims are fanatics. These men protesting are not ISIS or Boko Haram. These are commoners, who work 9-5 by day, eat and sleep by night

usermane:I support blasphemy law. Govt of Pakistan displayed kind judicial process with the verdict to release the woman base on lack of evidence in their view or whatever it was. So I don't understand why the people took to the street to protest she must be hanged. But it is also their right to protest if they feel judge's decision was improper. Don't forget that. This is none of the concern of other muslim countries. The alleged crime was committed in Pakistan and was subjected to Pakistani law. There are hardened criminals in common law that are set free and also people that are innocent but they are jailed in common law, and people take to the street to protest their best interest. Punishment for insulting Prophet (saw) doesn't have to be death. There are other punishments available like jail, community service etc. It is not always death death death. But definitely there should deterrent. If you have no problem with Germany for punishing someone for mocking holocaust, why should you have problem with blasphemy law in Islam?. Germany set anti-holocaust law to deter offenders. What do you have to say about this?. Also recall back in 2008 during Obama administration. There were sea pirates from Somalia. A group of young guys who hijacked American ship and detained the captain at ransom?. A movie titled "Captain America" was later made to portray the incident. My point is, when these young guys were arrested and were brought to America, mother of the youngest of them who perhaps was lured into the pirate business was crying so hard to have her son released. She made direct plea to then secretary of state, Hillary Clinton to release her son but Clinton said the crime was committed on American soil and his crime was subject to American judicial system. His mother was not asking for just release but to be punished in Somalia so that she would be able to see him. But being tried in America, she lost hope of seeing her son again. The boy was only btw 17 and 19 years old. He's in American jail since as far as I know. I'm not saying what he did was right. I'm saying if Pakistan govt feels someone committed crime on their soil like the lady, they have the right to enforce the law regardless of what you think. It is none of other muslim countries business. Just bcus this is religious related doesn't mean it is exceptional. Btw, it is interesting that you called yourself muslim here. Hummm |
