Education has been thrown into the muds in Nigeria. Gone are the days when the main primary objectives of schools was to instill knowledge unto pupils. It's now all about financial profit making as its main primary objective and knowledge has been made a secondary affair which is now a concern on parents through loads of homeworks being given to the pupils for their busy parents to attend to after the days work. |

You said it all... Very stupid approach. What if the pupil in question doesn't have a father or his father is far away? Nigerian schools needs to stop attaching stereotypes to families. The father provides, the mother cooks and cleans bla bla bla, it doesn't make sense anymore especially now that both parents do chores and contribute financially to the running of the home. There are homes where the mum pays the bills and the dad stays at home with the kids. There are single parent homes where just one parent bears all the burden. How do you expect children from such homes relate with silly stereotypes? [/quote] |
