The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr William Symington, has said that the nation's most prominent assets are the youths and not petroleum.

Symington said this on Sunday amid his visit to Makoko people group.

While tending to a portion of the students of Adekunle Anglican Primary School, Makoko, Symington stated, "if you have petroleum and you don't have youths, you don't have anything. The most vital assets of Nigeria are her youths. The reason the world thinks about Nigeria is a result of the youths of the nation," he said.

The US Ambassador asked the students to be sacrificial in their mission to pick up, focusing on that what they realize would be utilized to build up the nation.

"You are not simply learning for yourself; you are learning for every one of us. One of you will find a solution for an infection. Someone else will figure out how to urge agriculturists and herders to live in peace.

"One of you will take an image and that image would be worth in excess of a million words. Some of you will end up extraordinary creators and you will take individuals to places where they have never been," he said.

Symington additionally lauded the pioneers of the network for enabling their youngsters to go to class, saying that Nigeria would profit over the long haul if each national could peruse and compose.
