Can't this ASUU show some understanding. Global Oil prices have crashed and this is a time we need to be more prudent and make realistic demands from the government to ensure smooth execution. They should come to a round table and renegotiate this mystical 2009 agreement of theirs they use to hoodwink every government and hold them to the jugular. Else till 2050 we will still be talking of some lame 2009 agreement. |

He said the agreement was signed when govt was experiencing oil boom in 2009. Thats almost 10 freaking years ago! Nigeria, where is the way? Why do we have e.m.p.t.y-head.ed leaders at the helm of affairs of this country? It has become a rocket science to diversify. Whats gonna happen when the crude oil varnishes? SMH, and it's either Bihari or Atiku in Aso rock by this time 2019. ijustdey: |

What I can pick from this piece of information is that ASUU are on strike because their allowances had not been paid not because of one foolish agreement. University of Ilorin chairman saying he is not aware is not an excuse. The likes of uniben, oau, unn,ABU and others didn't get notification I suppose. |

This is one of the blows Yar'adua's death dealt. The man would have honored his 1.3trn in 6years' promise, especially with the oil boom within that period. Jonathan, a supposed educationist released 200bn within the said period even when funds embezzled under his watch ran into trillions. Buhari's govt claimed to have recovered some looted funds. Na so so figures we dey hear. What happens to injecting the recovered funds into this? Release just another 200bn or so and see the strike averted but they won't. Instead this minister has shown despair at this early stage of the strike. I pity the son of the common man whose time will be wasted courtesy of this. Last of such strike was around 9 months God save this country. |
