HIGHLIGHTS: FPL (fantasy Premier League) Match Day 11 Team Of The Week by olakehinde007: 3:24pm On Nov 06, 2018

The Premier League did produce a lot of goals and excitements as well as poignant events during the Match Day 11 round of games. Many fantasy premier league football managers would have picked up some massive FPL points from their attackers while it might be very difficult to pick up FPL points from defensive players.

Only three teams (Fulham, Watford and Cardiff City) out of the twenty premier league teams did not score a goal during the premier league week 11 round of games. Even Newcastle United got their first 3points in the 2018/2019 premier league season with a 1nil win over Watford on Saturday. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side also showed no mercy or any sign of slowing down when they trashed and humiliated Mark Hughes’ Southampton side by six goals.

Below is a highlight of the top performers in the Fantasy Premier Leagues team of the week in a 3-4-3 formation:

GOALKEEPER – Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City FC)
Despite the tragic death of the Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four other people including the pilot in an helicopter crash last week which left the entire football world, Leicester City FC management and staff, players and fans alike terrible sad and emotionally downcast, the Danish goalkeeper still put in a solid and excellent performance in front of goal in their weekend game against Cardiff City. Kasper Schmeichel was able to see off the barrage of threat from Cardiff city and protected his goal, thereby earning an important win for Leicester and a clean sheet to his name.

DEFENSE – Benjamin Chilwell (Leicester City FC)
Benjamin Chilwell’s role was very pivotal to Leicester City’s one-goal win against Cardiff City. Benjamin Chilwell provided the assist for what happened to be the only goal (and the winning goal) in the game against Cardiff City on Saturday. His left-footed cross from the by-line into the Cardiff city box was met by Demari Gray who scored from a close 12yards. This is Benjamin Chilwell’s first clean sheet for Leicester city.

DEFENSE -Seamus Coleman (Everton FC)
The Irish defender who recently returned after spending a long time on the sidelines as a result of injuries has once again secured and cemented his place in the heart of Everton’s defense. The Everton captain silenced his doubters and critics by scoring a fantastic goal in the Toffees 3-1 win over Brighton on Saturday when he smashed home a low driven shot into the far post from outside the Brighton box. The goal is Seamus Coleman’s first goal since January 2017 and summarizes a sterling performance by the team captain at Everton’s Goodison Park stadium.

DEFENSE -Federico Fernandez (Newcastle United)
Federico Fernandez played a key role in frustrating the attacking moves of Watford in their game on Saturday. Fernandez helped Newcastle United to win their first game in the 2018/2019 English Premier League season, thereby moving the team out of the relegation zone. Federico Fernandez would have to continue to put in such an excellent performance week-in-week-out for Newcastle to comfortably move out of the relegation zone and distance themselves from the other bottom three teams in the relegation zone.

MIDFIELD – Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)
Raheem Sterling was incredibly superb for Manchester city in their game against Mark Hughes’ Southampton side on Sunday. Raheem Sterling was a constant problem for the Southampton defense to deal with. He scored two goals for himself and provided another two goals for his teammates in a humiliating 6-1 defeat of Southampton at Manchester City’s Etihad stadium. Raheem Sterling is in a blistering form under manager Pep Guardiola and is unplayable by both club and country.

MIDFIELD – Richarlison (Everton FC)
Richarlison scored two goals on either side of Seamus Coleman’s goal for the Everton side at Goodison Park on Saturday to help his Everton team clinch an important win against Brighton Hove & Albion. Although the 21-year-old Brazilian player had previously missed many chances in The Toffees last two games, it appears that Richarlison seems to have found his goal scoring boots once again and is looking set to be the highest goal scorer for Everton this season with his blistering speed ad eye for goal.

MIDFIELD – Leroy Sane (Manchester City)
Leroy Sane was incredibly superb for Manchester city in their game against Mark Hughes’ Southampton side on Sunday. Like his teammate Raheem Sterling, the German winger’s electrifying pace and brilliance were too much of a problem for the Southampton defense to deal with. Leroy Sane provided two goal assists and scored one goal in the humiliating 6-1 defeat of Southampton at Manchester City’s Etihad stadium to seal off a great evening of fantastic and exciting football by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side.

MIDFIELD – Felipe Anderson (West Ham)
Felipe Anderson helped his West Ham United side to an impressive 4-2 win over Burnley on Saturday by scoring two goals. The West Ham’s record signing is fine goal scoring form as he scored in their home win against Manchester United a few weeks ago.

FORWARD – Alvaro Morata (Chelsea)
Alvaro Morata appears to have found his goals scoring form once again as he has now scored four goals in his last four premier league games for Chelsea after enduring a goal drought that went on for many weeks. The Spanish born player scored twice in Chelsea’s 3-1 win against Crystal Palace on Sunday to pile more pressure on league leaders Manchester City in the race for the apex position on the premier league table.

FORWARD – Sergio Kun Aguero (Manchester City)
It is almost guaranteed that the diminutive Sergio Aguero would be in the thick of the action every time that Manchester City scores up to six goals in a single match. Sergio Aguero provided two assists and scored one goal when his Man City side thrashed Southampton in a humiliating 6-1 defeat on Sunday. Aguero has now scored seven goals in the premier league this season while providing six goal assists along the way.

FORWARD – Raul Jimenez (Wolves)
Raul Jimenez scored his third goal of the season for Wolves against an overconfident and relaxed Tottenham side on Saturday. Jimenez scored one goal and provided another when he helped his Wolves side to almost embarrassing Tottenham with a superb comeback in the last 30minutes of the game on Saturday after going down 3nil in the firs half. The game ended in an unfortunate 3-2 defeat for Wolves, but they could have played a draw and shared the points if Raul Jimenez’s goal was not disallowed.
