How Ambode lost his second term bid, Adefuye, GAC member reveals.

A member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council, GAC, Senator Anthony Adefuye, yesterday, disclosed how party leaders in Lagos East Senatorial District fought to secure the second term ticket for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

Adefuye disclosed this at a reconciliation meeting held at CMD Shangisha in Lagos. Ambode Adefuye, the APC Lagos East Senatorial District Leader, said: “People accused us of removing Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. We saw this crack four months ago and we decided to meet with our Lagos Central Senatorial Leader, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi and we went to see Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. “We asked Tinubu if there was any problem, and he said that there was a problem and he narrated it. “We prostrated and asked him to call the Ambode and speak with him. “We left the place and started calling the Ambode to give him a hint of the meeting, but he did not pick our calls. Asiwaju Tinubu said that he was not picking his calls too. I actually tried my best.

“We rose up to defend Ambode. We didn’t just follow Asiwaju like sheep, we fought and we tried. “Those of us in the East nearly burst into tears for the opportunity we lost in Lagos East. “I fought tooth and nail to make sure that the position was not taken away from us. It was a great opportunity that we lost. “Anyone that is not a party man should not be elected into positions. Take this advice and make sure you don’t make the same mistake.”

Hmmm, Ambode, maybe you thought they were calling to beg for money shebi? Am sure by now you'll be picking even your gate man's call. Life is in phases.

Yes I was so surprised, all of a sudden Ambode stopped picking even my own calls too

Poor performer, another poor performance from Tinubu's stooge. Worst civilian governor of Lagos state in History. angry

Shut up Mr man... if u dont know dont talk..

What do u mean by worst civilian governor... if u begin to rate current state governors in Nigeria, Ambode is amongst the top 3 if not d number 1..

Dont call him a poor performer because he had a misunderstanding with the party executives... Although he has his own flaws too but not worst to d extent at which u are underating him...

It simply mean he was not working together with the party that brought him into the seat of Power, thinking he can do it all alone. This issue of call has been mentioned by someone else before. It make me wonder why all the LG Chairmen against a sitting Governor, that alone shows sometin is really wrong. I can remember, I think is this chairmen complained of this call issue back then...

You're very right, when an LGA chairlady once accused him of same people were calling her all sort of derogatory names instead of calling him to order, but water don pass garri for him.
Ambo just make his constituency lost another 4yrs for nothing just for ego and pride, its not easy to manage success if you dont abide under God's grace

They couldn't have saved what Buhari, Oshiomole and all well meaning Nigeria can't. This is another ploy to further dismember a drowning man, they should just leave him alone to complete his term, If he meant well for Lagos they will one day bemoan their foolery in destroying a man who want to take the city to another height of Development and give them a new lease of life.
