Ondo Assembly impeaches Speaker, Deputy

The Ondo State House of Assembly have today impeached two principal officers of the law making chamber.
Irohinoodua correspondent in Ondo State reports that the State Assembly today impeached the speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Bamidele Oloyelogun. HIs Deputy Iroju Ogundeji has also been impeached
.
The lawmakers promptly elected a new Speaker and Deputy.

The lawmaker representing Akure North, Mr Olamide George from Akure North is the New Speaker, while Mr Abimbola Fajolu from Ile oluji/Okeigbo constituency was elected as the new Deputy Speaker.

The Ondo State House of Assembly has constantly been rocked by internal divisions occasioned by vested interests represented by the Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu on the one hand and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) on the other.
