No other state made an issue out of it except Peter Obi. He cried blue murder and blew alarms where there was none as though he had not been informed three times prior. Rather than Obi take the deportation in good faith like other governors, he wrote an over-dramatized letter to the Shoeless one occupying Aso Rock as of then and leaked his obnoxious and inciteful letter to the media thus setting off an avoidable friction between Yorubas and Igbos and in the process threatening national cohesion and unity. By whipping up ethnic sentiments, Obi displayer utter lack of capacity and ability to lead in a diverse, multi-ethnic and multi-religious society like Nigeria.

Interestingly, Fashola’s government also received requests from Akwa Ibom state government to come and pick up two Lagosians who the A-Ibom government described as lunatics. The Lagos state government acted responsibly by fetching the people and not making a noise about it. In December 2011, the same Peter Obi himself deported 29 indigenes of Akwa-Ibom and Ebonyi from Anambra to their states of origin but the hypocrite he is didn’t term his action ‘”deportation” then. Characteristic of the Igbos, the Abia state government sacked 3,000 non-indigent igbos in the same 2011 and deported them to their respective states. Rather than Obi take the deportation in good faith like other governors, he wrote an over-dramatized letter to the Shoeless one occupying Aso Rock as of then and leaked his obnoxious and inciteful letter to the media thus setting off an avoidable friction between Yorubas and Igbos and in the process threatening national cohesion and unity.
