The aspiration of Senator Magnus Abe to become the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State has been dashed.

This is after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, published the list of governorship candidates for the 2019 election in the state on Friday.

The aspirant produced by the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi faction of party, Tonye Dele Cole was recognized as the party’s flagbearer by INEC, in the list pasted at its office in Port Harcourt.

A Deputy National Secretary of the APC, Victor Giadom was also published as Cole’s running mate.

Both Cole and Giadom are products of an indirect primary election.

Also shortlisted are Governor Nyesom Wike and Dr (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry as governorship candidate and running mate for the PDP.

Other shortlisted governorship candidates from other political parties in the State are: Elem Chinweike for Hope Democratic Party, HDP, Joseph Princewill for MPN, Tamunopriala Jumbo for PDC, Ngoye Benebo for UPN, and Kukang Barine for APM.

Does apc have candidate in rivers state?

I see the demonic party called APC getting more confuesed.

Abe has really suffered in the hands of this Amaechi.
They both fought and built APC in rivers state, but Amaechi just likes playing god.

In 2015, Abe was the most preferred candidate to face Wike. Amaechi refused and brought in Dakuku the slowspoke. Abe abided by his decision.

2019, there were more than 5 strong candidates in APC, all fighting for the party. Tonye princewill, Dakuku, briggs, Abe and others.

They have been campaigning since whenever.

Just before primaries, Amaexhi plays god again and brings in Tonye cole, who isn't even a member of APC at that time.

His business partner in Lagos. He sidelined everyone and paved way for cole to emerge.

Well, he has a lot on his plate. No wonder wike isn't bothered. Non indigenes who make up 30% of the rivers population would never vote Apc.
The other guys including Abe who were sidelined, would also work against APC in 2019.

They don't get it.

If only our politicians would learn from history, we would have gone far by now. I see a very consistent and independent INEC....all across the country, they only publish names of candidates who emerge from primaries they(inec) monitored and approved. To a large extent, INEC is a proof that Nigeria can work with the right people and motives.

Will using Magnus Abe as their flag bearer change anything? APC will never win in Rivers State in the up coming election even if they combine the Two APC aspirants.

Magnus Abe sensed his defeat in the primary and resulted to self help by organising his own primary conducted by himself, no INEC officials, scored himself and also announced himself as winner.

According to Chidi Lloyd Magnus Abe was his own examiner, the supervisor, invigilator.

Wike's oga,Tonye Dele-Cole,owner of Sahara Group Energy,son of Ambassador Dele Cole,General Overseer said him and his friends bought the Gulfstream PJ for Redeemed. Some people have blue blood,wike the peasant should step aside immediately after the elections and go on a sabbatical leave of absence till May 29th,believe me wike is having sleepless nights.

That is the handiwork of Amaechi and his group, i advice Abe to join forces with Wike as APC cannot win Rivers
