AMERICANS ARE THE MOST LIBERAL PEOPLE ON EARTH

The American government is probably the most evil government on earth. It is a government at the helms of the world’s foremost superpower and practically twists the rest of the world with its little finger. America directly or indirectly topples governments in other parts of the world. Many internal conflicts are orchestrated from Washington and when it decides to occupy a country, it usually leaves that country in pretty worse condition than it was before the occupation. I have always taken the notion or the conspiracy theory that America loves unrest so that it could test its defence capabilities and bring in billions of dollars through the conduits of local arms manufacturers. There must be conflicts. A peaceful world will hurt America military, political and economic standings.

But the regular American people are diametrically different from their government. Yes there are a good number of them who are homophobic and racial bigots. If one thinks about the days of segregation and the Klu Klux Klan, you may not want to give Americans the benefit of doubt. Over time, the orientation and predilection of the normal American people have changed for better. Wherever it is you emigrated from or your origins, if you were born in America, as long as you’re law abiding, you could become the President, a la Obama. Most Americans now live up to the dreams of Martin Luther King Jnr from his famous “I Have A Dream” speech: “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!"

The basis of this write-up is the result of the recent election into Senate and House of Representatives. Americans blazed the trail again by rising above strains of Islamophopia by electing into Congress the first two Muslim women. One is RASHIDA TLAIB from Michigan (originally from Palestine) and ILHAN OMAR from Minnesota (born in Somalia) who will have the distinction of being the first Hijab wearing congresswoman in American history.

This is not a Uhuru reference point for Muslims. It is rather a reference point for tolerance and good conscience. Americans have done what is abhorrent in many Muslim dominated countries and this should not pass unnoticed. Those who voted for these two Muslim women are largely non-Muslims who knew fully well they were voting for Muslims and for one who openly expressed the wish of becoming the first woman to wear Hijab in Congress.

A peaceful world will have cornerstones of tolerance, unity and equality. We should all do the little we can to put humanity first and above other considerations.
