Former Manchester City star, Pablo Zabaleta has said that his former side defeated Manchester United on Sunday because they (City) had more quality in all areas.

Manchester City clashed with rivals, Manchester United, at the Etihad in the Premier League on Sunday.

City took the lead after just 12 minutes with three-time Premier League winner, David Silva, finishing from close range with a right-footed effort.

Zabaleta told Sky Sports that it was clear right from the half time the difference in quality between the two teams.

“I thought it was what we expected, the game we mentioned before the game,” Zabaleta said.

“Two different styles of play between Man United and Man City.

“Man City have been dominating the first half.

“I think the quality, the difference between both clubs, is unbelievable.

“They’ve got so much quality on the ball but off the ball the way they press is just unbelievable.”

Zabaleta, who now plays for West Ham, also pointed out that City could have scored more before half time.

Mancity created more shooting opportunities either through the flanks or by individual skill. Manutd on the other hand had a hard time in that aspect.

Mancity heavy ball possession meant Manutd had to at least make most of their chances which they didnt especially on the counter attack which ManU didnt instigate any at all if I can remember

Most of ManU shots came off setpieces, which isnt bad but open play shots were more or less non-existent (going back to the fact they didnt create enough goal shooting chances)

All in all it was a good game, ManU has bigger fish to fry than losing a derby, as long as they keep grinding and getting results so that they ultimately enter UCL spots they will be aight, they will however need too sign this January.

Mancity will be elated at this result but the season goes on and unlike last season when they lead the league at a canker, they realize they have more challengers at the moment.

Manu has potential bt have a lot of work to do on themselves to be better. Physical and psychological work.

I don't think anybody expected united to defeat city at the Ethihad stadium in the first place. Anything other than a man city victory will be one of the shockers of the century.

Mou is the problem with man u, his methods are outdated. Why start fellaini in that kind match, too slow and has zero creativity and intelligence on the ball.
