Alleged breach of contract: APC gov candidate, Uzodinma, arrested

The Special Presidential Investigation Panel For Recovery of Public Property said on Sunday that it had arrested the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Chairman of the panel, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, said in a short message to our correspondent on Sunday that the panel arrested Uzodinma, the senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, for the failure of his company to execute a contract of $12m for the dredging of Calabar channel.

According to the panel’s chairman, the contract was awarded by Nigerian Ports Authority.

Obono-Obla said Uzodinma had been evading arrest for about a year but was arrested at about 8.20pm at the Abuja airport.

The statement read, “This evening, at about 8.20pm, operatives of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel For Recovery of Public Property at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport arrested the APC governorship candidate in Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, after disembarking from an Air Peace P47324 flight from Lagos.

“The panel is investigating economic sabotage against Senator Uzodinma arising out of the failure of his company to execute a contract of $12m for the dredging of Calabar channel awarded by the NPA.”

He has been invading arrest for a year. Isn't Uzodinma in the country all these years?

This is purely witch-hunt! I'm not against corrupt officers From been quizzed by law enforcement agents. But the question is why now? Why now that he has been cleared by INEC to contest gubernatorial election under APC? Don't even tell me that it is a coincidence, cos I won't accept it.

It is simple. Okorocha lost the tickets for his son in-law. He activated plan B. It is a matter of dustin his old files when he was a sinner (PDP) and use it as a weapon hoping the Court will disqualify uzodinma based on corruption Case.

A single phone call to EFCC boss can set up the machinery in 72 hours. Don't forget, APC is finding ways to appease these aggrieved governors. Nothing is impossible bro.

It's a shame how state institutions are being misused and openly abused in Nigeria.

And the worst part of it all is the lack of leadership. The senile animal that calls himself president is just sitting there. Clueless and unaware of his own existence. All sorts of atrocities are being committed by all sorts of so-called influence peddlers using his name.

The DSS was used to invade the National Assembly without his knowledge.

The EFCC and Police were used to barricade the residences of Saraki and Ekweremadu to prevent them from going out, without the president's knowledge.

Same DSS was used to settle personal political scores with the APC chairman without his knowledge.

Etc. Etc.

Now this shadowy body known as Special Presidential Investigation Panel For Recovery of Public Property has been used to settle yet another personal political scores. And the buffoon in charge of the so-called panel has the audacity to claim that Hope has been evading arrest for a year. So we members of the public are essentially fools?

How can people use state institutions like DSS, Police, and the rest to carry out illegal missions without the president's knowledge? It's dangerous. It's a serious ground for impeachment. Nigerians must wake up to this dangerous reality.

Buhari's incompetence and bigotry is bad enough, but his nonexistent leadership is the biggest reason why we can't afford to let him continue. People under him can sell Nigeria using his name and he wouldn't be aware until he is given quit notice in Aso Rock by the new owners.
