Ondo State Government Presents Cheques to Affected Properties Owners.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, of Ondo State, Presents cheques of compensation to owners of properties affected by the dualization of Akure, Ikare, Owo Township roads and construction of Ore Flyover, today the 13th of November, 2018.

During the event, Akeredolu pleaded with the properties owners to bear with the government on the damages caused as a result of this development, as he explained to them that every property owner whose building were affected is eligible to collect a compensation rights.
He also mentioned that his motive is for infrastructural development, according to the Governor, 9 billion Naira has been spent on road construction and infrastructure, as massive changes has been done to dilapidated roads that were neglected by the past administration, he promised to ensure that no project embarked on would be left unfinished even though there are limited funds.

The governor enumerated on his administration achievements, as regards to job creation through industrialization. According to him, 1000 youths has been employed at Ondo Lee-Wood Park Ore, and many especially women would be employed at the Cassava to Ethanol Plant and Textile mill at Owo once it is completed.

Governor Akeredolu was displeased by people’s ingratitude toward the government, stating that the people are not grateful of the government that came and offsets 7 months salary owed by the past administration and yet does not delay in salary payment nor owes the workers. He quotes that “Ingratitude is part of Life” that he will not be deterred by people’s ingratitude as he would continue to do the right thing which he has pledged as a leader. He promised to pay workers salary before the end of the week.

The governor, implored the beneficiaries to use the money wisely for the right cause.
