The Chief Imam of Akure, Alhaji Yayi Akorede has commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for rescuing the education sector in Ondo State which has become comatose during the previous administration.

The cleric said the mega school which was put in place by the previous administration, killed many schools across the state, especially the Muslim primary school, Akure.

Akorede said the Muslim community in the state is happy with the laudable achievements of Governor Akeredolu.

He described as surprising, the various work that has been done in less than 2 years of the Akeredolu's administration in the state.

"You are doing well and we must say it. The previous government knew what we represented. I speak the truth and stand by it. You are doing well and we will make this noise for you

"You were not even born by a Muslim parent but you have done us well in this state within the little time you have spent

"Even the one that was born into a Muslim home didn't do us this good. You have brought succor to the Muslim community in Ondo State

"Without coming to meet you, you embark on our school project and today, the school is fenced, renovated with basic amenities. You are a good governor

"We will continue to support you, we will stand by your government. If you do what's right, we will say it, if you do otherwise, you can't stop us from saying it as well. " the cleric said.

The work this administration is doing really shows. People don't hear this enough; you can't just talk about what you want to do without doing it. And doing it they did. I can see the changes for myself on my daily commute.
